When do you become ‘sherpa’?
Now, you just add ‘sherpa’ in you’re personal description, and voila you’re a sherpa for the whole group... even if you never helped anyone.
I would suggest that in the future, when you want to be recognised or mentioned as a sherpa in a group, you have to put in a request with the group admins.
They can decide if a sherpa mention in they’re group is valid or not.
Just a thought... 😉
Group Mods can now appoint Group Sherpas 07/09/20
Sherpas are now Mod-assigned per Group. This allows the group to determine who the Sherpas are for others to go to for help. Group Mods can add users as a Sherpa through the Group Edit page. Users still have to be a regular sitedwide sherpa (add sherpa tag to their profile and have sherpa rank greater than 0) for the Sherpa Tag to show. The Sherpa Tag will only show in game sessions if no group is selected or if there is a group they need to be a group sherpa for that group.

This issue is compounded by the fact that we can be in multiple groups. While I might consider my self a Sherpa in my PvE focused clan, by adding the tag I'm now labeled a Sherpa in the PvP clan of which I'm also a member... even though I hardly ever play Crucible.
