This is a great idea!!! I like the idea of searching games by type (all Raids, all Dungeons, etc.)—in fact that's what brought me here!
I imagine a checkbox for "parent" game type (Raid, Dungeon, Crucible, etc.) that includes each "child" option, or checkboxes for each individual "child". An option to "select all" and deselect from there would meet your 2nd bullet's objective.
Date/time parameters are a great idea, but don't overlook "Day of week". Quick options to select "day" (6am-6pm local time) or "night" (6pm-6am local time) might be practical.

Just a friendly tip to those turned off by the cost—don't forget about the "Sherpa Status" (from your Dashboard). On this page, users can track participation in "Sherpa" activities (it tells you how you can gain points). Through earning points, you earn "Supporter Perks", up to "Lifetime Supporter Perks" at 100 points.
I think this is a healthy way to reward users to help make the100 community a better place. Thanks for attending my Ted Talk
